Connecting to the Gleneagles VPN

Purpose

To provide step-by-step instructions for connecting to the Gleneagles VPN using the Watchguard VPN client.

Scope

This procedure applies to all employees who need to access the Gleneagles network remotely.

Procedure

1. Open Watchguard VPN Client

   • Locate and double-click the Watchguard VPN client icon on your desktop.

2. Enter VPN Credentials

   • Server: remote.gleneagles.com
   • Username: firstname.surname@gleneagles.com
   • Password: Use your normal Windows login password.

3. Connect to VPN

   • Click the Connect button.
   • If prompted, accept any certificates.

4. Authenticate Connection

   • Open the Watchguard Authpoint app on your mobile device.
   • Approve the connection request.

5. Disconnecting from VPN

   • To disconnect, open the Taskbar, right-click on the Watchguard icon, and select Disconnect.
   • To reconnect, right-click the Watchguard icon and select Connect.

Notes

• Once connected, you will have access to all files, folders, and applications as if you were connected to the Gleneagles network locally.
• The performance of applications and file access may vary depending on the speed of your home network and the VPN client connection.
